Bosman Family Vineyards

Winery Description

Location and History

The Bosman Family have been farming in Wellington for 8 generations, yet their approach is far from staid or traditional. Their award-winning wines push the boundaries of innovation, their proud heritage forming the bedrock from which regeneration and sustainability are a natural progression.

Bosman Family Vineyards is just an hour’s drive from Cape Town outside Wellington, a hidden gem in the Cape Winelands with a selection of wines that honour their heritage, community and environment. The Wellington farm is beautiful, historic and intimate. The Bosman family have been living here for 200 years. A personalised tasting, presented in the ancient cellar is a rare treat: a cool respite in summer under the trees and a cosy fireside interlude in winter.

A warm welcome awaits! Join Bosman for a relaxed and intimate experience and become part of their extended farm family.

Wine Tasting

Bosman Family Vineyards produce a variety of red and white wines, sourced from both their Wellington vineyards and cool climate Upper Hemel-en-Aarde vineyards, near Hermanus.

The selection of tasting wines varies depending on the season, new releases, or recent award-winning wines. Guests are encouraged to ask the staff if they have a specific preference, as older vintages may occasionally be available. The wine-tasting experience is tailored to each visitor's preferences, with an extensive range of red and white wines, including single-varietal wines, blends, and single-vineyard wines, all grown organically.

‘‘Dedicated to Better’ is their motto, both in terms of the wine quality and the impact they have on the environment and the community. This is why they plough back 2% of sales into their community projects like the crèche and aftercare programme. Every bottle sold allows them to invest more into the development of their extended farm family.
