Winery Description

Location and History

Mont Fleur Farm sits at 393m above sea level on the eastern slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, surrounded by a stunning mountainous landscape that enhances the wine's terroir. The vineyard flourishes in granitic based soils, providing excellent drainage and water retention. Founded in 1992 by architect David Trafford and artist Rita, the estate now carefully manages its wines to maintain quality. The estate's commitment to sustainability and local knowledge aids in producing exceptional wines that reflect the environment. The vision emphasizes small production, focused on quality rather than quantity, which has established it as a noteworthy producer in the region.
