DeMorgenzon Wine Estate

Winery Description

All wine estates in the Western Cape are beautiful, each with its own unique terroir. However, DeMorgenzon is considered one of the most extraordinary of them all. The estate's slopes rise from about 200m to nearly 400m above sea level, offering vistas that encompass Cape Town, Table Mountain, Cape Point, Cape Hangklip, the Hottentots Holland mountains, Helderberg, and Simonsberg, all set against an ocean backdrop. While it could be referred to as a ‘mountain vineyard,’ the estate prefers to be known as a ‘garden vineyard.’ In Spring, specially chosen wildflowers flourish between the vines. There is no doubt that a biodiverse and ecologically sensitive environment produces superior grapes, and the beauty of the gardens is reflected in every bottle of wine.
