Situated on the cool slopes of Durbanville, known for its ancient soils and maritime climate, Diemersdal Wine Estate boasts a unique terroir ideal for cultivating high-quality wines, particularly Sauvignon Blanc. Established in 1698, the estate has remained under the stewardship of the Louw family for six generations, with Thys Louw currently at the helm. The estate covers 200 hectares of vineyards, primarily planted with dryland Sauvignon Blanc grapes, which contribute to their rich, concentrated flavors. Sustainability is also a cornerstone of their operations, with farmland cultivated using regenerative farming practices that promote biodiversity and environmental conservation. This commitment to the landscape is evident in their efforts towards sustainability, earning them titles such as WWF Conservation Champion.
