Location and History
Seven Springs is located between Shaws Mountain to the north and the Tesselaarsdal Mountain Range to the south. Their vineyards lay on the scenic R320 Hemel-en-Aarde mountain road between the coastal town of Hermanus (25 minutes away) and the spa town of Caledon (15 minutes away). Tim and Vaughan Pearson and a small team run this winery with dedication and passion.Â
Tim and Vaughan, who are British, live in the UK and visit Seven Springs every year from January to March. During this time, they enjoy welcoming visitors to the winery. Pieter Kruger was recently appointed as winemaker and GM. Himself, his wife Gabbi and their son recently returned to South Africa after living in England.
Wine Tasting
Guests are invited to stop by to enjoy some of their superb wines, which may include vintages of Sauvignon Blanc, Oaked and Unoaked Chardonnay, Syrah, Pinot Noir, and Syrah Rosé. Wine tastings are done in an intimate setting with personal attention from the staff. Seven Springs exports its entire range of wines to the USA, under the label 'Over the Mountain'.

With prior booking and subject to availability, you can enjoy a brief tour of their cellars.
For cyclists and hikers, an MTB course traverses through Seven Springs, all the way from the bottom of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Cycle permits must be obtained and these can be purchased at 'Village Cycles' between Mon to Sat, which is located at the bottom of the valley road in Hemel-en-Aarde village, next to Wine Village. Visitors are welcome to hike for free on the trail. Please note routes are not affiliated to Seven Springs, and as such, they cannot answer any queries.
