Telluric Wine Farm

Winery Description

Location and History

Telluric is one of the newest additions to the Plettenberg Bay Wine Route along the Garden Route, ceated by Pierre and Cecily du Preez, the team behind Beau Constantia. Its name is derived from the Latin word Tellus, meaning of the earth, soil or land (terrestrial), or natural electric currents flowing through the Earth's surface, expressing a strong connection to the land and its natural character.

Set on the south-eastern slopes above Plettenberg Bay, the estate looks out across the coastline, the Rhone Hill polo fields, Bitou river and the Tsitsikamma mountains. The setting captures the natural beauty of the area, while the farm itself reflects a sustainable approach to viticulture and a careful balance between nature and cultivation.

Wine Tasting

At Telluric, the vineyards are planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, varieties well suited to the cool coastal climate. The young vines are shaped by the estate’s maritime conditions, with the aim of producing wines that express both freshness and a clear sense of place. Beau Constantia wines are also served at Telluric.

Restaurant

The estate also has a restaurant, offering a relaxed setting and a menu that keeps things simple with fresh ingredients, well suited to pair with wine tasting.

Accommodation

Tours and Activities

Beyond wine and dining, Telluric offers additional ways to enjoy the estate, with modern padel courts and a space that occasionally holds an art exhibition. Telluric is also available for events and functions.
