Situated in the picturesque Blaauwklippen Valley, Waterford Estate rests on the lower slopes of the Helderberg Mountain in Stellenbosch, a prominent region for wine production in South Africa. The estate spans 120 hectares, with half dedicated to vineyards. The unique terroir, characterised by well-draining soils and a temperate climate, contributes significantly to the grapes' quality. Founded with a vision for sustainable excellence, the estate has managed to preserve the natural landscape alongside its vineyard, allowing for a diverse ecosystem. Tours and Activities

The flagship 3-hour Wine Drive Safari includes tastings of award-winning Estate wines in the vineyards of their origin, with expert guidance through the unique viticultural aspects of the area. The tour features light snacks and concludes with a Wine and Chocolate Tasting at the winery. bookings are required a week in advance and are weather permitting.

Waterford Estate also offers the unique Porcupine Trail Walk, which explores the rich diversity of indigenous fauna and flora across three different routes, each providing varying levels of intensity. The walk includes a selection of three wines, a light lunch, and a Wine and Chocolate Tasting back at the winery. Bookings are required 7 days in advance.
