The area is renowned for its Mediterranean climate and mineral-rich decomposed granite soils, which are well-suited for producing high-quality wines. The Wightman family purchased the farm in 2011, marking the beginning of their winemaking journey. They released their first vintage in 2015, embracing sustainable farming and organic practices to cultivate their vineyards. Managed by a dedicated father-son team, Môrelig focuses on crafting artisanal wines that genuinely reflect the unique terroir and climatic conditions of the region. With a history rooted in quality and sustainability, Môrelig Vineyards stands as a testament to the commitment of its owners to create exceptional wines.

Wine Tasting

Môrelig Vineyards provides a personalized wine tasting experience that is available by appointment only. This exclusivity allows visitors to savor a selection of quality wines produced from grapes cultivated sustainably on the estate. The farm boasts a diverse collection of wine cultivars, including Chenin Blanc, Syrah, and Pinotage, among others.
