The estate was founded over a century ago and has transformed over the years, with a focus on producing quality wines through sustainable practices. Wine Tasting

Restaurant

De Herenhuis 1692, located within the Zorgvliet estate, offers an elegant dining experience amid the estate's stunning surroundings. The restaurant's menu showcases seasonal ingredients, expertly crafted by Chef Simone, with each dish designed to celebrate local flavours and culinary artistry. Guests can enjoy their meals in a beautifully restored historic manor house, taking advantage of panoramic views of vineyards and mountains.

For a more casual setting, the De Vliet Country Bistro captures the essence of countryside dining, featuring a family-friendly atmosphere with outstanding outdoor seating. Here, visitors can indulge in gourmet lunches while enjoying the tranquil backdrop of nature. Additionally, outdoor picnic options are available, allowing guests to savour gourmet meals amidst lush vineyards, creating the perfect escape for relaxation and enjoyment.

Accommodation

Zorgvliet’s warm and welcoming Country Lodge caters for the needs of every individual with exceptional attention to detail. Splendid grandeur and warm hospitality is at the core of your experience and rooms are spacious, comfortable, luxurious and individually decorated with views of the surrounding vineyards and mountains.

The Lodge has a private lounge and outdoor swimming pool area. Room options include 2 Standard Doubles and 7 Superior Double Rooms, 2 Two Bedroom Family Units (1 bathroom), 1 Three Bedroom Family Cottage (2 bathrooms), a Loft Room and a Private Suite.

Tours and Activities

Tours of the cellar are available by appointment; interested parties should contact the Estate for details.

For weddings, the venue offers a magical and stylish setting. Situated in the Banghoek Valley, the Estate provides breathtaking views of the Simonsberg Mountains and surrounding vineyards. It features a chapel, the elegant Oak Room wedding reception venue, and the Country Lodge, which is just a short walk away. For other types of functions, Zorgvliet provides a selection of venues and styles, ranging from casual end-of-year braais and relaxing picnics to baby showers and kitchen teas. For more formal events such as dinners with dancing, sit-down lunches, or conferences, the Estate offers buffets, wine pairings, bowl food, and set menus at the exquisite Banghoek and Oak Room venues.
